IL9R Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of IL9R protein.
Target Information
Human Interleukin 9 (IL9) was first identified based on its proliferative activity on a human myeloid leukemic cell line. Human IL9 stimulates proliferation of the human megakaryocytic leukemic cell line M07e and supports erythroid colony formation. It synergizes with IL4 in the production of IgE and IgG.
The interleukin 9 receptor (IL9R) is a member of the hematopoietin receptor superfamily. Mouse and human IL9R cDNAs have been isolated, encoding transmembrane proteins sharing 53% amino acid sequence identity and containing 468 and 533 residues, respectively. Multiple isoforms, including a putative soluble form, have been identified. IL9R is expressed in various hematopoietic cells such as T cells, neutrophils, mast cells, and macrophages.
