Target Information
CNOT3 is a component of the CCR4-NOT complex, a major cellular mRNA deadenylase involved in processes such as bulk mRNA degradation, miRNA-mediated repression, translational repression, and transcription regulation.
It plays roles in metabolic regulation, mitotic progression, and spindle assembly checkpoint control by stabilizing MAD1L1 mRNA.
CNOT3 can repress transcription, potentially through histone deacetylases, and is important for maintaining embryonic stem cell identity.
