MAP4K4 (HGK)는 serine/threonine kinase로, 스트레스 활성화 MAPK 신호 경로 및 TNF-alpha와 같은 사이토카인 반응에 중요한 역할을 합니다. JUN N-terminal 경로의 상위 단계에서 작용하는 것으로 보이며, Nck 어댑터 단백질의 SH3 도메인과 상호작용합니다. CNH 조절 도메인을 통해 SPG3A의 N-말단 영역에 결합합니다. 모든 조직에서 발현되며, isoform 5는 뇌에서, isoform 4는 간, 골격근, 태반에서 주로 발현됩니다.
