Target Information

Ran/TC4-binding protein (RANBP1)은 GTP가 결합된 RAN과 특이적으로 상호작용합니다.
RANBP1은 GTP가 결합된 RAN 복합체에는 결합하지만 GDP가 결합된 RAN에는 결합하지 않습니다.
이 단백질은 RAN의 GTPase 활성을 직접 활성화하지 않지만, RanGTPase-activating protein (RanGAP1)에 의한 GTP 가수분해를 현저히 증가시킵니다.
RANBP1 cDNA는 201개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질을 암호화하며, 마우스 상동체와 약 92%의 유사성을 보입니다.
포유류 세포 및 효모 모두에서 RANBP1은 RCC1에 의해 유도되는 RAN의 구아닌 뉴클레오타이드 방출을 억제하여 RCC1의 음성 조절자로 작용합니다.
