Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody D7715A7 recognizes mouse CD126 (IL-6 receptor alpha chain), a member of the Ig superfamily. CD126 can heterodimerize with CD130 (gp130) to form the high-affinity IL-6 receptor complex. Binding of IL-6 initiates signaling via CD130, followed by receptor internalization. A soluble version of the receptor can also mediate trans-signaling when bound to IL-6.
Expression:
- Found on peripheral T lymphocytes and thymic SP populations
- Expressed on activated B lymphocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, and CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells
- Binding can be blocked by IL-6 ligand addition

Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume)
Light Sensitivity: Protect from light; tandem dye sensitive to photo-induced oxidation
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-822-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in dark
Excitation/Emission: 488–561 nm / 775 nm (Blue, Green, Yellow-Green Laser)

Target Information
Interleukin 6 receptor (IL6R / CD126):
A type I cytokine receptor forming part of the IL-6 receptor complex. Regulates cell growth, differentiation, and immune response. The receptor complex includes IL6ST/GP130, shared with other cytokines. Dysregulated IL6R expression is linked to multiple myeloma, autoimmune diseases, and prostate cancer. Alternative splicing produces distinct isoforms; a pseudogene exists on chromosome 9.
