Product Specific Information

The monoclonal rat IgG1 kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
This eBRG1 antibody has been reported for use in intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
It has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 615 (BUV615) is a tandem dye that emits at 615 nm and is intended for use on cytometers equipped with an ultraviolet (355 nm) laser. Ensure that your instrument can detect this fluorochrome.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light sensitivity: Protect the vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Target Information

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies produced by rats in response to antigens.
It is commonly used as a negative control since it does not bind to many mammalian antigens.
Applications include immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting for specific antigen detection.
In research, gene targeting in rats enables the study of human disease mechanisms through knockout or modified models.
