Product Specific Information

The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5/BLR1), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor originally identified in Burkitt’s lymphoma.
CD185 is expressed on B cells, CD4+ T cells, and a subset of memory T cells. It plays a key role in lymphocyte trafficking, particularly T cell migration into B cell follicles in response to CXCL13, making it an established marker of follicular helper T cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test.

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 702 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 702 nm. Recommended detection filter: 710/50 bandpass.

Staining Considerations:
When using multiple Super Bright-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Fixation:
Samples may be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333).

Light Sensitivity:
Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.

CXCR5 is a G protein-coupled receptor for chemokine BLC, expressed in Burkitt’s lymphoma and lymphatic tissues such as lymph node follicles and spleen. It plays an essential role in B cell migration and lymphocyte localization within germinal centers.
CXCR5 expression has been observed in various tissues including blood, bone marrow, brain, liver, lymph node, spleen, and tonsil. As a GPCR family member, it participates in complex signaling and regulation pathways, making it a significant research target for immunology and pharmacology.
