Target Information
The POLR2B gene encodes the second largest subunit of RNA polymerase II, which is responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. This subunit, along with at least two other polymerase subunits, forms a structure that maintains contact between the DNA template and the newly synthesized RNA within the enzyme’s active site.
