Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
LIPG (Lipase G, Endothelial type) is an endothelial lipase and a member of the lipoprotein lipase gene family. It is synthesized by endothelial cells and functions locally to modulate lipoprotein metabolism.
Overexpression of LIPG reduces HDL cholesterol levels, while deficiency elevates HDL cholesterol in animals.
LIPG exhibits phospholipase activity and plays a role in lipid metabolism and vascular biology. It is classified within the TG lipase family due to its sequence and lid region, conferring substrate specificity.
As a carboxyl esterase, LIPG hydrolyzes high-density lipoproteins, emulsifies triglycerides, aids in fat digestion, and binds to heparin.
