Target Information
PAR6 gene encodes a protein containing a PSD95/Discs-large/ZO1 domain and a semi-Cdc42/Rac interactive binding domain.
This membrane protein participates in asymmetric cell division and cell polarization as part of a multi-protein complex.
It also plays a role in epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition associated with metastatic carcinoma invasiveness.
Alternate splice variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
