Target Information
Actin is a ubiquitous protein that forms filaments constituting a major component of the cytoskeleton. Actin filaments interact with myosin to facilitate muscle contraction, cell motility, and cytokinesis. In vertebrates, actin isoforms are categorized into alpha, beta, and gamma groups.
