Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

ITGB1 (Integrin Subunit Beta 1, CD29) is a 110 kDa cell surface glycoprotein expressed by various cell types, including all leukocytes.
It forms non-covalent heterodimers with multiple alpha chains (α1–α6), determining the binding properties of β1 (VLA) integrins.

ITGB1 is involved in:

  • Cell adhesion and migration
  • Platelet activation and extracellular matrix binding
  • Regulation of immune cell trafficking
  • Modulation of tissue damage and inflammatory responses (e.g., inflammatory bowel disease)

Decreased ITGB1 expression correlates with multidrug resistance in tumor cells.
Two major isoforms, β1A and β1D, differ by 13 amino acids and show tissue-specific distribution.
β1A is present in most tissues, except cardiac and skeletal muscle, which express β1D.
