For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882) to ensure carrier-free conditions.

Target Information

The CD4 antigen participates in MHC class II recognition and acts as a co-receptor for HIV. It is primarily expressed in T helper cells, but also found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
CD4 expression is observed in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and specific regions of brain and gut. It assists in early T-cell activation via association with the T-cell receptor complex and kinase Lck, and may contribute to neuronal damage in immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
