Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 50 µL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
Glucagon-like peptide-1(9-36)amide and GLP-1(9-37) are degradation products of active GLP-1 forms (GLP-1(7-36)amide and GLP-1(7-37)) by dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP-IV, CD26).
GLP-1 is a peptide hormone of the glucagon family, produced by intestinal L cells from the same prohormone as glucagon.
Active GLP-1 forms are potent stimulators of glucose-dependent insulin secretion.
The GLP-1 sequence is conserved across mammalian species.
