Target Information
Interleukin 25 (IL-25), also known as IL-17E, is a member of the IL-17 cytokine family. It acts as a proinflammatory cytokine produced by Th17 effector cells, contributing to autoimmune processes such as Rheumatoid Arthritis. IL-25 induces NF-kappa-B activation and stimulates production of IL-8. It is activated through IL-23, IL-5, and TGF-beta pathways.
