Target Information
USP5 (ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 5)는 linear 및 branched multiubiquitin polymers를 절단하며, branched polymers에 대한 친화도가 높습니다.
이 효소는 unanchored Lys-48-linked polyubiquitin의 분해에 관여하며, linear 및 Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin에도 낮은 친화도로 결합합니다.
USP5의 발현 억제는 p53/TP53의 축적과 전사 활성 증가를 유도하는데, 이는 축적된 unanchored polyubiquitin이 ubiquitinated p53/TP53과 경쟁하여 proteasomal 인식에 영향을 주기 때문입니다.
