This antibody has specificity for Human JAM-A/PAM-1/CD321.
Target Information
CD321 (also known as F11R, JAM-1, JAM-A) is a cell-surface adhesion molecule belonging to the Ig superfamily of receptors.
It is a 32–41 kDa glycoprotein with two extracellular Ig-like domains, a transmembrane region, and a short cytosolic tail.
The protein forms homodimers and associates with other membrane proteins such as integrins.
CD321 is expressed on leukocytes, platelets, erythrocytes, stem cells, epithelial and endothelial cells, and mediates cell-cell contact.
It is closely associated with tight junction components such as ZO-1 and occludin and plays roles in maintaining epithelial and endothelial barriers, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis, and tumor progression.
