• In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse, canine, feline, cotton rat, rat, porcine, human IL-10, and Epstein-Barr virus IL-10 has been observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
• Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).

Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is a pleiotropic cytokine that plays a crucial role in regulating immune and inflammatory responses.
Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), a prevalent pathogen capable of latent infection, encodes a homolog of IL-10 (HCMV IL-10) to modulate host immune responses.
HCMV IL-10 shares approximately 27% amino acid identity with human IL-10 but retains the ability to bind the human IL-10 receptor complex and induce signal transduction.
It suppresses cytokine production, inhibits proliferation of mitogen-stimulated human peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and downregulates antigen-presenting functions of monocytes, contributing to viral immune evasion.
