Target Information

CX3CR1 is a chemokine receptor required as a coreceptor for HIV infection. The genes encoding CX3CR1 in human, mouse, and rat were cloned and designated V28, CMKBRL1, and RBS11, respectively.
This seven-transmembrane protein acts as the receptor for fractalkine and mediates leukocyte migration and adhesion.
CX3CR1 is expressed in various human tissues and cell lines.
