Target Information

IL1F9 is a cytokine that binds IL1RL2/IL-36R receptor, activating NF-kappa-B and MAPK signaling pathways.
It is part of the IL-36 signaling system involved in local inflammatory responses in epithelial barriers.
Plays a role in skin inflammation by acting on keratinocytes, dendritic cells, and T-cells.
Induces chemokine expression (CCL3, CCL4, CCL5, CCL2, CCL17, CCL22, CXCL8, CXCL1) and proinflammatory markers (TNF-alpha, S100A7, inducible NOS).
May contribute to airway inflammation and innate immune response to fungal pathogens such as Aspergillus fumigatus.
