Mucin 13 (MUC13) is an epithelial transmembrane protein. The SEA domain is an extracellular region associated with O-glycosylation. Proteins containing SEA-modules include agrin, enterokinase, perlecan, mucin 1, and other glycosylated proteins. These modules are typically found in heavily glycosylated environments and may assist in carbohydrate binding. Enterokinase, an intestinal protease, is composed of multiple distinctive domains.
