Description:
The 104 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD45 molecule (leukocyte common antigen, LCA) in CD45.2-expressing mouse strains such as C57BL/6, BALB/c, C58, DBA/1, DBA/2, C3H/He, CBA, 129, A, and AKR. CD45.2 is expressed by all leukocytes in these strains.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of BALB/c splenocytes. Recommended use ≤ 1 µg per test (in 100 µL final volume). Cell number may vary from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Titrate antibody for optimal performance.

Target Information

CD45.2 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, constituting about 10% of lymphocyte surface proteins. It regulates Src-family kinases, influencing lymphocyte development and antigen signaling. Multiple isoforms arise via alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions. CD45.2 also modulates integrin-mediated signaling, contributes to cell survival, and participates in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis. CD45RA is an isoform with restricted expression among lymphoid subtypes.
