Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Horse, and Cat.
Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, and the consistency of recombinant production.
Functionally similar to polyclonal antibodies, they recognize multiple epitope sites on the target for high detection sensitivity of low-abundance proteins. However, the recombinant nature ensures a defined population of light and heavy chains, eliminating lot-to-lot variability.
Note: Formerly called “Recombinant polyclonal antibody”, now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ antibody”. Product performance remains unchanged.
Target Information
FGF1 (Fibroblast Growth Factor 1) belongs to the FGF family, which exhibits broad mitogenic and cell survival activities. These proteins are involved in processes such as embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion.
FGF1 functions as a modifier of endothelial cell migration and proliferation and acts as an angiogenic factor. It serves as a mitogen for mesoderm- and neuroectoderm-derived cells in vitro, suggesting a role in organogenesis.
