Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry samples may be prepared using cold 100% methanol at -20°C for fixation.
- 0.5 µg/mL of MA5-27685 was sufficient for detection of HSP40 (HDJ1) in 15 µg of HeLa cell lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
- Detects approximately 40 kDa. Does not cross-react with HDJ2 or YDJ1.
Target Information
TCF-9 (transcription factor 9), also known as C2orf3, GCF, or DNABF, is a 781 amino acid nuclear protein belonging to the GCF family.
It binds GC-rich sequences in promoters such as beta-Actin, EGFR, and calcium-dependent protease (CANP).
GCF contains multiple phosphoserine and phosphothreonine residues, and alternative splicing produces two isoforms.
It is considered a candidate gene for dyslexia susceptibility (DYX3) due to its proximity on human chromosome 2, which encodes over 1,400 genes and represents about 8% of the human genome.
