The Non-Human Primate IL-15 Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures IL-15 protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits so that you can create your own multiplex panel utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation. When combining multiple Simplex kits (i.e., when not using a pre-configured Multiplex Panel), only one buffer kit (sold separately) is needed per assay plate, regardless of plex size.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the sandwich ELISA principle, using two highly specific antibodies that bind to different epitopes of a protein to quantify multiple targets simultaneously with a Luminex instrument. These assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and deliver analyzed results in about four hours.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single sample from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, and other bodily fluids.

The Luminex beads used are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores, creating spectrally unique signatures identified by Luminex xMAP detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX). Each bead is conjugated with a specific antibody, enabling multiplexed detection using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody in ProcartaPlex assays is bead-conjugated and free-floating in solution. The Luminex instrument detects each bead’s spectral signature and quantifies RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available across six species (human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine).
