This antibody detects endogenous levels of total PRUNE2.
Target Information
The PRUNE2 gene, also known as BMCC1, encodes the prune homolog 2 protein. It overlaps with PCA3, a prostate cancer–specific marker. PRUNE2 may regulate differentiation, survival, and aggressiveness of tumor cells. It shows high expression in the nervous system (brain, cerebellum, spinal cord) and in certain tumor cell lines such as neuroblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, melanoma, and osteosarcoma, but low expression in liver, breast, thyroid, and colon cancer lines. The calculated molecular weight of PRUNE2 is approximately 340 kDa.
