Target Information
Smoothelin은 평활근 세포(SMC) 세포골격의 구성 요소입니다.
이 단백질에 대한 항체는 SMC 분화를 모니터링하는 데 유용하며, 완전히 분화된(수축성) SMC에서만 발현됩니다.
RNA 및 단백질 분석 결과 다양한 종에서 발현이 확인되며, SMC 유사 세포(예: myofibroblasts, myoepithelial cells, skeletal 및 cardiac muscle)는 smoothelin을 포함하지 않습니다.
공초점 레이저 현미경 분석과 형질전환 연구에서 smoothelin은 desmin 및 vimentin과 구별되는 섬유성 구조를 가지며, actin stress fiber와 공위치합니다.
두 가지 조직 특이적 isoform이 존재하며, 59 kDa isoform은 내장 SMC에, 100 kDa isoform은 혈관 SMC에 특이적입니다.
인간 smoothelin은 염색체 22에 위치한 단일 복제 유전자에 의해 암호화됩니다.
