Target Information
Radil is a broadly expressed adapter protein containing a RA-like domain, a PDZ domain, and a DIL domain. Similar to RAPL and RIAM, Radil interacts preferentially with active GTP-bound Rap1, enhancing integrin-mediated adhesion. Knockdown of Radil inhibits cell-substrate adhesion in HT1080, AD293, and NMuMG cells, and causes migration defects in SW1353 and zebrafish neural crest cells. Radil regulates neutrophil adhesion by enhancing beta2-integrin activation as well as focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and paxillin phosphorylation.
