Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
PD-1 (also known as PDCD-1) is an inhibitory receptor expressed on activated T cells. It binds to ligands PDL-1 and PDL-2 on antigen-presenting cells to downregulate immune responses. This mechanism prevents overactivation of the immune system and autoimmunity.
In PD-1 knockout mice, hyperactivation of immune responses and autoimmune disorders are observed. Despite its predicted molecular weight, PD-1 often migrates at higher molecular weight in SDS-PAGE.
