Target Information
JMJD2A is a member of the Jumonji domain 2 (JMJD2) family. It contains JmjN, JmjC, JD2H, two TUDOR, and two PHD-type zinc finger domains. This protein acts as a trimethylation-specific demethylase, converting trimethylated histone residues to the dimethylated form, and functions as a transcriptional repressor.
