Target Information
Adiponectin은 지방세포(adipocytes)에서만 분비되는 단백질 호르몬으로, 지질 및 포도당 대사를 조절합니다. 이 단백질은 항상성 유지 및 비만과 같은 다양한 생리학적 과정에 관여하며, 그 농도가 감소하면 비만, 인슐린 저항성, 고인슐린혈증(제2형 당뇨병)과 연관됩니다.
마우스 모델에서 adiponectin은 AMP kinase 및 PPAR-alpha를 활성화하여 지방산 수송, 산화, 분해를 촉진함으로써 근육 내 지질 축적을 줄이고 인슐린 신호 전달을 개선하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
