Target Information
LRRK2 is a multidomain protein that includes a kinase domain, a GTPase domain, and a leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domain. Mutations in LRRK2 have been associated with Parkinson’s disease. LRRK2 belongs to the leucine-rich repeat kinase family and encodes a protein with an ankyrin repeat region, LRR domain, kinase domain, DFG-like motif, RAS domain, GTPase domain, MLK-like domain, and WD40 domain. The protein is mainly cytoplasmic but also associates with the mitochondrial outer membrane.
