Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The APCS gene encodes a glycoprotein belonging to the pentraxin family, characterized by a pentameric structure. Members of this family share high sequence homology due to gene duplication. The encoded protein binds to amyloid cross-beta fold structures, suggesting a possible chaperone role. It is also implicated in chromatin degradation and binds to apoptotic cells at early stages, indicating a role in apoptotic cell clearance in vivo.
