Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the kinesin-like protein family. These proteins are microtubule-dependent molecular motors responsible for transporting organelles within cells and moving chromosomes during cell division. This protein plays an essential role in anaphase chromosome segregation and may be required to coordinate the onset of sister centromere separation.
