Target Information
TCTN1은 Tectonic 단백질 패밀리의 첫 번째 구성원으로, Hedgehog (Hh) 신호 경로를 매개하는 신경관 패턴 형성에 관여하는 진화적으로 보존된 분비형 및 막단백질 그룹에 속합니다.
배아 발생 동안 TCTN1은 Hh 신호 전달에 참여하는 부위에서 발현되며, gastrulation 단계의 ventral node에서 시작됩니다.
TCTN1 돌연변이 생쥐는 E13.5~E16.5 사이에 사망하며, Hh 신호 감소와 관련된 holoprosencephaly 결함을 보입니다. 이는 TCTN1이 Hh 활성화 인자로 작용함을 시사합니다.
발생 후반기에는 TCTN1이 전방 및 후방 신경관에서 Hh 경로의 억제자로 작용할 가능성이 있습니다.
