Target Information
PCBD2 (Pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase 2), also known as DCOH2 or DCOHM, belongs to the pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase family.
It is involved in tetrahydrobiopterin biosynthesis, preventing the formation of 7-pterins and accelerating the formation of quinonoid-BH2.
Additionally, PCBD2 regulates the dimerization of homeodomain protein HNF-1-alpha and enhances its transcriptional activity.
