Target Information
FKBP12는 면역조절 및 단백질 접힘, 수송 등 세포 내 기본 과정에 관여하는 immunophilin 단백질 패밀리의 구성원입니다.
이 단백질은 FK506 및 rapamycin과 결합하는 cis-trans prolyl isomerase로, type I TGF-beta receptor 등 다양한 세포 내 신호전달 단백질과 상호작용합니다. 또한 세포 내 칼슘 방출 채널 및 골격근 ryanodine receptor 복합체 형성에도 관여합니다.
마우스에서 이 유전자 결손은 선천성 심장 질환인 좌심실 비압축증(noncompaction of left ventricular myocardium)을 유발합니다.
