Product Specific Information
The 61D3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, interfollicular macrophages, and dendritic cells. Complexes of LPS and LBP bind with high affinity to monocytes via CD14.

Target Information
CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a lipopolysaccharide receptor and is released into serum as soluble or cleaved forms. CD14 interacts with LPS-binding protein (LBP) and plays roles in immune response modulation, apoptosis recognition, and inflammatory processes.
Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding the same isoform.
Diseases associated with CD14 dysfunction include Mycobacterium chelonae infection and croup.
