- Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
- After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.

- Rat anti-Mouse CD40 antibody, clone 3/23 recognizes murine CD40 cell surface glycoprotein.
Target Information
CD40 antigen is a single-chain glycoprotein, member of the TNF/NGF superfamily, showing homology to CD30. It is expressed on all B cells except plasma cells, and also on epithelial cells, carcinomas, and lymphoid dendritic cells. CD40 is essential for immune and inflammatory responses, including:
- T cell-dependent immunoglobulin class switching
- Memory B cell development
- Germinal center formation
AKNA transcription factor regulates CD40 expression, supporting cell interactions. TNFR2 acts as an adaptor protein mediating CD40 signaling. CD40-ligand interaction is crucial for amyloid-beta-induced microglial activation, implicated in Alzheimer’s disease. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms are known.
Associated diseases include Type 3 Hyper-IgM immunodeficiency and CD40 ligand deficiency.
