Target Information

Major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I proteins mediate recognition of intracellular antigens by cytotoxic T cells. The MHC class I chain-related (MIC) proteins, including MICA, are recognized by NKG2D receptors on NK and T cells, promoting anti-tumor activity.
MICA is widely expressed on various tumors and in most normal tissues except the nervous system, suggesting its role in immune-mediated anti-tumor responses.
