Target Information
Connexin 40 (Cx40)은 gap junction 단백질인 connexin 계열에 속하며, 췌장, 신장, 골격근, 간, 태반 및 심장에서 발현됩니다.
Cx40은 특히 혈관 내피세포와 심장(심방 근육 및 His-Purkinje 전도계)에서 높은 발현을 보입니다.
심장에는 Cx37, Cx43, Cx45 등 다른 connexin들도 존재하며, Cx40과 Cx43은 심혈관계 세포에서 함께 발현되어 heterotypic gap junction 채널 형성에 관여합니다.
