Integrin alpha-7은 인간의 ITGA7 유전자에 의해 발현되는 단백질로, 염색체 12q13.2에 위치합니다. 이 단백질은 integrin alpha chain 패밀리에 속하며, 세포 간 및 세포-기질 간 상호작용을 매개하는 이합체 막 단백질 복합체의 일부입니다. Integrin alpha-7은 basement membrane 단백질인 laminin-1의 수용체로 작용하며, 주로 골격근과 심근에서 발현됩니다. 근형성 과정에서 세포의 분화 및 이동에 관여하며, 해당 유전자의 결함은 선천성 근병증과 관련이 있습니다.
