Target Information
Lymphotoxin beta (LTB) is a type II membrane protein of the TNF family. It anchors lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface through heterotrimer formation. The predominant form on lymphocyte surfaces is the lymphotoxin-alpha1/beta2 complex, which acts as the primary ligand for the lymphotoxin-beta receptor. LTB plays a key role in inflammatory response and lymphoid tissue development. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
