Target Information

Conventional kinesin은 두 개의 heavy chain과 두 개의 light chain으로 구성된 사량체 분자로, 미세소관을 따라 다양한 화물을 +말단 방향으로 수송합니다.

KLC1 유전자는 kinesin light chain 패밀리에 속하며, N-말단 도메인을 통해 kinesin heavy chain과 결합합니다.
여섯 개의 TPR(tetratricopeptide repeat) 모티프가 화물 결합에 관여한다고 알려져 있습니다.
이 유전자는 kinesin-2 서브패밀리에 속하지 않으며, 다양한 C-말단을 갖는 대체 스플라이싱 변이체를 생성합니다.
