Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the Jumonji, AT-rich interactive domain 1 (JARID1) histone demethylase protein family. The encoded protein is involved in gene regulation through histone H3 lysine 4 demethylation and interacts with retinoblastoma protein. It is implicated in transcriptional regulation of Hox genes and cytokines and may play a role in tumor progression.
