Target Information
AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)은 태아기 동안 난황낭, 장, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다.
성인의 AFP 발현은 간암(hepatoma) 또는 기형종(teratoma)과 관련이 있으며, 일부에서는 병리학적 이상 없이 유전적으로 지속될 수 있습니다.
AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아기 대응 단백질로, 두 유전자는 염색체 4상에서 동일한 전사 방향으로 나란히 존재합니다.
AFP는 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며, 구리, 니켈 이온, 지방산, 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다.
양수 내 AFP 농도는 척추이분증(spina bifida) 및 무뇌증(anencephaly) 선별에 사용되며, 혈청 내 높은 AFP 수치는 간세포암(HCC), 기형모세포종(teratoblastoma), 대장암, 췌장암, 생식세포종양 등에서 발견됩니다.
