Target Information
STAG2 is a component of the cohesin complex, which is essential for sister chromatid cohesion after DNA replication.
The cohesin complex forms a ring structure that traps chromatids and is cleaved at anaphase, enabling segregation.
It may also play a role in spindle pole assembly during mitosis.
