Target Information
CYP3A4 유전자는 cytochrome P450 효소 초가족의 구성원으로, 약물 대사 및 콜레스테롤, 스테로이드, 지질 합성에 관여하는 monooxygenase 반응을 촉매합니다. 이 단백질은 소포체에 위치하며, glucocorticoid 및 특정 약물에 의해 발현이 유도됩니다. Acetaminophen, codeine, cyclosporin A, diazepam, erythromycin 등 현재 사용 중인 약물의 약 절반 이상을 대사하며, 일부 스테로이드 및 발암물질의 대사에도 관여합니다. 이 유전자는 염색체 7q21.1에 위치한 cytochrome P450 유전자 클러스터의 일부입니다. 이전에 CYP3A3로 알려진 유전자는 현재 CYP3A4의 전사 변이체로 간주됩니다. 다양한 isoform을 암호화하는 전사 변이체가 확인되었습니다.
