HLA-G는 HLA class I heavy chain 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, heavy chain과 beta-2 microglobulin으로 구성된 이합체 형태입니다. Heavy chain은 막에 고정되어 있으며, 주로 태아 유래의 태반 세포에서 발현됩니다.
이 단백질의 분자량은 약 45 kDa이며, 유전자는 8개의 엑손으로 구성되어 있습니다.
