Target Information
Tight junction 단백질 그룹은 상피세포 간의 접착 구조로, adherens junction 및 desmosome과 함께 상피 접합 복합체를 형성합니다. Tight junction strands는 주로 claudins, occludin, JAM으로 구성됩니다.
Claudin-16은 Claudin 패밀리(23개의 막 단백질로 구성)에 속하며, tight junction strand 형성에 관여하고 actin cytoskeleton과 ZO-1을 매개로 연결됩니다. Claudin-16(Paracellin-1로도 알려짐)은 신장에서 마그네슘의 세포간 재흡수를 위한 tight junction 단백질로, Henle 고리의 thick ascending limb(TAL) 세포 간 접합부에 위치합니다.
Claudin-16 결핍은 신장 세포 간 수송 기능 이상을 유발하며, 이로 인해 마그네슘 대사 이상 및 신장 기능 장애가 발생할 수 있습니다.
